The Girl in the Boat by Larry Blazek

has dropped something
into the water
the bottom is gravel
the river is shallow
the water is clear
you simply wade
up the cool river
which feels good
on such a hot day
and find her belongings
the documents
will need drying
but everything is intact

Larry Blazek was born in Northern Indiana but moved to the southern part where the climate is more suited to cycling and the land is cheap. Blazek has publishing the magazine-format collage Opossum Holler Tarot since 1983. He could use some submissions. His work has appeared in Puff Puff, Panopoly Zine, Indicia, and The Radvocate, among others.
